Being Human in High School: First Objective Achieved

19 Apr. / 2026

It’s time to spark momentum and generate enthusiasm around this innovative project

Our crowdfunding campaign ended yesterday with the achievement of our goal of raising $25,000. Just as importantly, reaching this goal allowed us to double that amount through the Mille et Un Fund.

In addition, Desjardins’ Community Development Assistance Fund (FADM) contributed an extra $5,000. Thank you to these generous donors

$55,000 to Get Started

This total of $55,000 is sufficient to develop the program, present it to schools, and recruit about twenty participating schools by the end of the year.

This amount iassessment, which serves two essential purposes.

For students
It offers them a brief opportunity for introspection regarding their behaviors (15) at school, along with immediate feedback and some suggestions for improvement. Introspection is far more valuable at age 15 than it is at 30, 40, or 60.

For schools
It provides an overall snapshot of their school, but more importantly, a segmented portrait by grade level (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), gender, program, and even by class. This kind of portrait fosters dialogue with students. It allows school teams to better understand their students and implement tailored, context-specific solutions rather than applying broad national programs that fail to account for the diverse realities of different schools.

An Additional Boost

This is what we are asking of you: to contribute to this project by making a donation to the Humanity Index, so that the Being Human in High School initiative can go further and reach as many schools as possible.

Being Human in High School generates enthusiasm wherever it is presented. Thank you for contributing to its success.
